Fisher King
Jack Parkes was born in Malta where his father was serving as a Royal Marine. He grew up on the Kent coast and North London where he attended The Ashmole School in Southgate before going to Leeds University to study Theology, and to Cambridge University for his Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
He worked as a teacher of both Religious Studies and Citizenship for Kirklees Local Education Authority and for Bradford College as a teacher trainer, before being ordained as a priest in the Anglican Church. He has since worked as a prison chaplain and a hospital chaplain. He lives in Leeds with his wife Rachel.
