Naomi Boyd was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland but spent her childhood holidays at the family’s home on the Isle of Skye. As a child, she relished the folk tales told by her grandfather of the misty Isles, of Bonnie Prince Charlie, of the heroine Amy MacDonald. Still, none fascinated her more than Coinneach Odhar better known as the Brahan Seer, the ancient Skye mystic credited with the gift of prophesy.

At eighteen, she moved to study in San Francisco, where she became immersed in California’s vibrant new-age scene. This led to her interest in alternative healing therapies and the interpretation of the Tarot.

Naomi spends her time between homes on the coast of California and in the west of Scotland. She is a keen skier and horse rider. She loves hiking and mountain climbing but says that her first passion remains rooted among the stories of the ancient mystics and the seers.
