Jim is a Chartered Engineer and owner/manager of his own successful Consulting Engineering business based in Cork. He has extensive experience of the construction industry, having worked in London, Kent, Abu Dhabi and latterly in his hometown, Cork.

He is also an accomplished musician and Musical Director of Carrigaline Folk Choir. He has written poetry and songs since he was a teenager and released an album in Kent in the early noughties with his folk/ rock band.
