Are you a writer...

Have you been working on a writing project but are not sure how to get it published? Perhaps you have spent months or years trying to get an agent or publisher to back your work. For every success story out there, the works of thousands upon thousands of potential authors never see the light of day.

We are not a printing press turned publisher. Fisher King Publishing is a Yorkshire, UK based based full service  publishing house working with authors of all genre. We have an editorial panel made up of individuals in several countries from whom we seek input on every book we manage. This adds tremendous value from the outset while allowing us to see things from a global perspective; how something is read in the UK may be totally different to how it is viewed in the US.

We take care of everything... including project planning, ISBN registration, editorial advice, typesetting, cover design, printing, on-line book placement, submission to world libraries, conversion for Kindle and iBookStore and much more.

We know how daunting it can be to get a book published and for new authors in particular we expect to provide a degree of mentoring to guide them through their project.

Are we part of the vanity publishing industry? Definitely not. Last year we turned down over 95% of books that got past the first post of a discussion between us and the writer. We have two main criteria in book selection the first is that we have to like the author - life is short enough - and second, we have to feel there is an opportunity for the book to find a market.

What if you are with another publisher? If you have already produced work with another publishing house and for whatever reason you wish to talk with us we would welcome having a chat.

What's your story?

Whether you have a story to tell or the desire to produce a book related to your profession, whether you are a business leader, poet, artist, photographer, whatever the subject, whatever the reason, if you aspire to be a published author, contact Fisher King Publishing today.
