Chris is an author who discovered his love of story telling whilst travelling in many countries during the nineties, when his passion for gritty realism developed through observation of real life and the opportunity to read more extensively.
Determined to continue his creative journey, upon returning to Britain, Chris then studied Politics and English at the University of York. In addition to his studies, he also wrote and produced various plays, one of which, ‘The Picnic,’ won a commendation for outstanding writing from the National Student Drama Festival.
After graduating, Chris was a Further Education teacher for ten years but never lost his desire to become a published author. Throughout this period, he matured as a writer by writing plays and short stories, before concentrating on what is now his first published work; the short, gritty, novel, ‘Back Road.’
Chris is currently working on his next title. He lives in Manchester with his wife, Fiona, and young son, Archie.
